Candle Care 101: Make Your Candle Last Longer (and Smell Better)
1. Let the First Burn Fully Melt
Always let the wax melt to the edges (about 2–3 hours).
This prevents tunneling and sets your candle up for an even burn every time.
2. Trim Your Wick
Keep your wick at ¼ inch before each burn.
This helps control the flame, reduces soot, and makes your candle last longer.
3. Burn 2–4 Hours at a Time
- Too short → tunneling
- Too long → overheats and burns faster
Stay in that sweet spot for the best results.
4. Keep It Clean
Remove wick trimmings and debris before lighting.
A clean candle = a better, stronger scent.
5. Stop at ½ Inch
When there’s about ½ inch of wax left, it’s time to stop burning for safety.
Quick Tip for Stronger Scent
Make sure you’re getting a full melt pool and not burning too long—both impact how strong your candle smells. Burn your candle in an appropriately sized room—too large of a space can dilute the scent.
Taking care of your candle is simple—but it’s the difference between a candle that just burns and one that truly feels cozy ✨
Small Batch. Hand-Poured. Always Cozy.
